IA `A' and `B' sherds

{1} Fieldwalking survey undertaken in 1959; Iron Age pottery found, identified as Trent Basin type. Pedestal base also identified. Date of early/middle Iron Age;

{4} Iron Age A sherds on ploughed surface 1959. Identified as of Trent Valley type.

{5} These potsherds were shown to Mr Green by the previous farm manager, who has now left the district. The indicated site is at present under crop.
