A dense Romano-British pottery scatter containing samian, Nene valley and Oxfordshire wares.

{1} A dense pottery scatter consisting of Iron Age, Roman and early-middle Saxon sherds. One Iron Age and one early-middle Saxon sherd each only. The previously published grid reference of SP693789 is probably incorrect, as it does not match the location indicated. The mapped area is defined by the Westaway Mineral (?) Spring 1978.

{3} A dense scatter of Roman pottery, mainly grey ware but also including fragments of colour coated ware, Nene Valley and Oxfordshire, samian, mortaria; one fragment might be Iron Age and another Saxon. Gives ngr as SP693789.

{4} SP693789. Roman settlement represented by a dense scatter of Roman pottery including samian, Nene Valley and Oxfordshire wares has been found.
