Full Description

{1} A hoard of coins was discovered near Evenly (SP5835) in a common earthenware vase. They ranged from the last year of Valerian to the accession of Constantine the Great, 260-306AD

{6} A second hoard, said to comprise over 23,000 coins from the second half of the 3rd century contained in an 'earthenware vase' also came from Evenley before 1854. The exact find spot is unknown.

{8} In 1854 another hoard was found in an earthenware jar; this included 2448 2nd brass of Diocletian to Constantius I, and 705 3rd brass of Valerian to Diocletian, apparently all mixed up together
