Full Description

{1} An undated inhumation was revealed during development on a site to the south of West Street. The remains had been removed by the polic prior to investigation by an archaeologist although a later visit pinpointed the location some 45m to the south of No 15 West Street. The digger driver had not been able to see whether the burial was spuine or flexed. Considered more likely to be of prehistoric/Roman date that anything later.
