Summary

J. Sale Leather Warehouse (Formerly F. Cook's South Place Factory). A three-storey boot and shoe factory on the west side of Connaught Street. The factory is built of brick with a pitched roof covered in Welsh slate. Ordnance Survey and other mapping, suggest that it was built c.1880

{1} Possible C19th boot & shoe factory; three-storey brick building with slate roof at 32 Connaught Street; exterior doors on top floor & ground floor; top storey with beam for hoist; present owners Crask Slinn Company;

{2} Possible C19th boot & shoe factory at 32 Connaught Street;

{3} Possible C19th century boot & shoe factory at 32 Connaught Street; present occupiers are Crask Slinn Company;

{4} c.1880 factory consisting of three buildings, an example of the development of a medium-sized shoe factory from a small workshop.
