Summary
Site of a cluster of brick buildings and a small reservoir built circa 1850. Cliftonville pumping station housed compound rotative beam engines of 1863, the earliest in situ, but these have been dismantled and put into store. All now demolished.

Full Description
{1} A cluster of brick and stone buildings connected to reservoir. They were built circa 1850; the workers cottages have been demolished. The beam engine makers plate has now been removed as well as the pump and drive shafts. Small reservoir of circa 1850 was linked; no longer of importance to the town's water supply.
{2} Waterworks and beam engine at Cliftonville Northampton has now been demolished; the beam engine is now at Kew Bridge.
{3} SP 764603 Cliftonville pumping station housed compound rotative beam engines of 1863, the earliest in situ, but these have been dismantled and put into store.
