Full Description

{1} One trench revealed two definite postholes with a probable third and a small pit. Only the pit yielded dating evidence comprising sherds of a late Neolithic (beaker-type) vessel. The three postholes yielded no dating evidence but it was thought probable that they were alos of prehistoric date.

Fieldwalking survey ahead of the trial trenching also identified a small cluster of querns and rubbing stones in this area.
