{2} 17th century Reference to millers at Doddington might include some who were at Hardwater Mill
1840 Doddington Mill to be let, 'now in the occupation of Sarah Arch'.
1871 Last definite reference to a miller here.
In c1613 a description of the proposed Nene navigation scheme, the distance of Doddington Mill from Hardwater Mill was given as 336 poles. John Harris's 1712 map marks it as Doddington Mill.
Two-storey mill- house of five bays survives. The former head-race is now used for boat moorings.
