Full Description

{1} During excavation for foundation trenches on Church Street frontage footings were exposed; some of brick and others of stone. Four wells were also uncovered. Two were overlain by the old school buildings dating from 1860 and 1862, and must therefore predate these. One well was stone lined. The level of water and bottom of the well below survey datum were noted.
