Full Description

{1} Rights of Way Officer for Northamptonshire County Council reported an area of "double-ploughing" near Radstone medieval village with "pottery and other material" in ploughed area.

{2} Site visit made in response to report that material had been turned up by recent ploughing. A spread of pottery, tile and bone was spread over an area approx 45m x 20m. All finds lay within an area of darker plough-soil. There were occasional pieces of building stone, some quite substantial, in the same area. Materials appears to be largely post medieval in date.
