{1} Well Lane appears to be a hollow way

{2} Well Lane once led to 13th century castle and is thought to preserve the line of a Roman road between settlements at Water Newton and Titchmarsh.

{4} Desktop study, supplemented by detailed geophysical survey and the observation of trial pits, has shown that a proposed development site is unlikely to contain significant archaeological deposits.
