Full Description

{1} A north-south range of at least two periods. At its south end a variation of plan and change of tile flooring may indicate a Chapter House.

{2} South end plan of range was changed to possibly accommodate a chapter-house.

{3} Some of the walls may belong to the church but could indicate an intermediate structure such as a chapter house between the church and cloister.

{4} At the south end of the excavated range a variation of plan and change to use of decorated tile for flooring may indicate a Chapter House.

{5} The southern end had a variation in plan and change of use suggested by decorated tile for the flooring. Possible indication of a chapter house. The first phase was c.17m long but width uncertain. Its plan was difficult to interpret although several large foundations were revealed.
