Full Description
{1} A series of seven small parallel ditches or drains occupying the eastern part of field 'MIL 5'. The central ditch links to the adjacent River Nene. This ditch has a low bank on its north side and a concentration of large stones (possibly a former sluice, dip or crossing point) at SP67625864. The drains appear to continue in part to the east [probably means 'west'] of the causeway/trackway (Mon 6583), but in a less well-preserved form. This may be the result of their being more prone to silting here because of the embankment.
