{1} A well weathered ditch with traces of low banks to either side was traced for approximately 440m on the south side of Harlestone Heath. It continues on same alignment as the pit alignment noted on aerial photographs of adjacent fields. The pit alignment is believed to be of a broadly Bronze Age/Iron Age date. There is a similar feature to the east running along line SP71776355 to 71836353.
