Full Description
{1} Two possible drove roads with flanking ditches; one extends north from the Oak Ditch for 150m, the other comes from the west for 200m. It is possible that the two roads form a crossroads, but the limits of the survey did not extend far enough to be able to tell conclusively. The distance beween the side ditches varies in width between 3-6m. The drove road from the west appears to mark the division between the open landscape to the north and the settled area; fieldwalking finds of Roman pottery scatters appears to respect this boundary.
