Full Description

{2} Silsworth Lodge marked, with what may be solid blocks of planting around, but digital copy of map is unclear.

{3} The 1813-16 OS surveyors drawings, like Bryant show a large courtyard building, with a smaller building to the south-west. The same solid blocks of planting may also be apparent, but little suggestion of parkland as such.

{4} Layout of a small parkland is clearly shown in the 1880s. There are at least two avenues of trees, one running soutwards, the other south-eastwards. Remanants of the latter still survive.
