Full Description

{1} Two pottery sherds; domestic wares. The larger sherd appears to be of a local type, probably Stanion ware. Dates from 13th century and has been heavily sooted on the outside suggesting that it may be from a cooking pot. The smaller sherd is from a vessel of indeterminate form, made in the Potterspury area in the 17th century. The reddish tan glaze is typical of such pottery.
