Full Description

{1}There was intermittent traces of occupation in the form of coins and pottery ranging from the 1st to the 4th centuries; found along Watling Street as far as Vernon Road; information from J. Alexander and C. Woodfield.

{2} RCHM incorrectly references this source

{3} Roman pottery was found during the digging of a sewarage trench. The site cannot be pinpointed from the source, but it does not seem to be referring to the same activity/ finds as the RCHM.
