Full Description

{1} Watching brief undertaken in Nov/ Dec 1989 during construction of a petrol station. A series of small boundary ditches/ gullies were encountered along with Romano-British pottery.

{2}Beside Watling street to the north of the Roman walled town. A series of small boundary ditches/gullies and other features related to those previously excavated were encountered along with Roman pottery. No further buildings were identified.
