Full Description
{1} A silver votive axe and a silver spoon were both found in 1966-7 in the area of 1-3 Link Way. This general area has also produced another silver axe, a silver openwork disc brooch, a silver ring, 2 silver coins, a 1st century bronze brooch and a quantitiy of 2nd century Samian including an unusual East Gaulish plate or stand. This combination fo finds may just be coincidence but the discovery of human bones in the area hints at the presence of a cemetery or temple.
