Full Description
{1} The leat is at least 400 metres long and banked up as it approaches the mills. It appears to be the main channel for the river water and a modern, vertical-rising, flood prevention sluice is situated between the two mill buildings. Upstream of this, a right angle take-off from the south side of the leat took water into the wheel-race for the south mill. Outside the buiiding, the taii-race makes a right-angle turn to join the main flow in the tail-pond beyond the track along the east side of the buildings.
