{1}C18th plan shows formal terraced gardens on ground rising to south of house;,{3}C19th copy of early C18th map shows 2 parterres marked as "flower gardens" either side of bowling green to south of house; garden to west side has small building at its west end where Blomfield's C20th summerhouse now stands;
