Full Description

{1} In 1755 removed village which was probably close to house on south-east side. The parish church was demolished in 1788. Gardens have been admirably laid out in modern times and in conjunction with much fine old timber to form an attractive setting to the house. Mr Hallet was the Head Gardener under the 5th Lord Lilford.

{2} After Flitcroft's work on house was completed attention turned to gardens.
