Full Description

{1} Switzer's book (1733) dedicated to "a good husbandman and planter" - describes Abbs Court as a ferme ornee.

[SMR note 23/08/2011: not sure how this relates to Horton and The Manor House. This habitation could in fact derive from a warreners lodge, since it occupies the east end of the area dedicated to the warren on the 1728 map, called 'John Brice's house.]
