Summary

Human remains were found by a farmer whilst digging an open ditch. The skeleton lay within a possible grave cut into the limestone. Possibly associated with the Roman settlement known to lie some 300m to the north-west

Full Description

{1}Human skeletal remains found by local farmer. Possible grave cut into natural limestone. No dating evidence, but may be related to nearby Roman settlement. Only single humerous and skull fragments visible under archaeological control - the rest had been machined away by farmer.
