Full Description
{1} A gold medalet was found on the battlefield of Naseby (SP 6879). It shows; obverse: head of General Fairfax; reverse: inscription "post-hac-melliora mervisti. 1645." Attributed without substantial proof, to Thomas Simon, a celebrated 17th c engraver.
Exhibited by the Rev. Assheton Pownall. Demensions are 1 inch, by 3/4 inch.
