Full Description

{2} Inspection of office development footings May 1990 led to the recovery of a small quantity of thirteenth to fourteenth century pottery from a pit. The pit may have had walled sides.

{2} A watching brief in 1990 at Church Lane, for office development recovered a small amount of pottery from a pit of undetermined size on the west side of the site. The foundation trench was 1.30m deep, and indicated possible other archaeological deposits which were not examined. Elsewhere were modern intrusions. A pottery assemblage of C13th-C14th was recovered.
