Full Description
{1} 5 building platforms seen on 14/1/1986 (G. Foard)
Development observation during topsoil strip for building. Stone walls, possible buildings and yard surfaces on 2 earthwork platforms at SP 9469 7041 and fronting the hollow way to the north-east. Mainly 10th to 13th century pottery was recovered. A north-east to south-west aligned wall separated these features from those to the south west. A burnt area of a possible hearth was noted on two earthwork platforms at SP 9465 7035 and possibly fronting to south-west to hollow way. Mainly 14th century sherds from the third area of the walls.
SP9459 7034: only a few limestone blocks, no obvious walls or yards; but the area was not well stripped
