Summary
Considerable qunatities of Roman pottery have been found in this area and during the excavation of All Saints Church in 1965 more Roman pottery as well as roof tile, floor tile and tessera were found indicating that a building lay in the vicinity.

Full Description
{1} Although no Roman material was found in situ during the excavation, large quantities of pottery, tegulae and tesserae were discovered as well as a piece of floor tile. There are also records of considerable amounts of Roman pottery being found in the area.
