Summary
Earthworks representing the shrunken settlement and field system probably dating to 1793. Nearby are also the earthworks of the deserted settlement of Cotnam.

Full Description
(1) Aynho settlement remains and hollow ways, centred SP 511332. Some of the remains date to the time of the enclosure of the common fields in 1793 but the rest represent earlier changes. At SP 510334 are the
remains of a hollow way and headland of the common fields. At SP 511330 is a hollow way and sites of former buildings possibly the remains of the separate settlement of Cotnam mentioned by Bridges.
{2} Cotnam has its own land but Commons and Parish links with the town
{4} Field names: Cotnam and Cotton Names. Name suggests a settlement in south of Aynho Park?
