Full Description

{1} Flint working site (SP 741699), south-west of the village,on Northampton Sand at 120m above OD. Worked flints, said to be of Neolithic type, have been found. Bronze Age flints are recorded near by (SP 739698).These two groups included over 50 arrowheads, over 1100 scrapers, over 7500 waste flakes and nearly 1400 cores. Two saddle querns were also discovered.
