Monument record 3281/0/0 - Undated industrial deposits

Alleged Iron Age or Roman Iron working site, but may be Medieval. A number of slag scatters have been identified in the SE of the parish. The slag is similar to types to those known from Iron Age or Roman sites, but recent work suggests that they may be medieval.

{1} Industrial sites (SP 895563, 895575 and 898564), in the SE of the parish, on Boulder Clay. All consist of areas of either charcoal or iron slag very similar to those known from Iron Age and Roman sites. Recent work, however, suggests that they may be medieval.
