Undated prehistoric pottery suggests occupation

{1} Top Lodge Gravel Pit. Small fragments of Bronze Age or Iron Age pottery found in 1962 on top of a ploughed-out pit. Worked flints from the same area.

{2} In 1962 fragments of Bronze Age or Iron Age pottery were found in the area of a ploughed-out pit. Worked flints have been discovered in the same area.

{3} Fieldwalking in 1962 recovered Bronze Age worked flints along with Iron Age [and Romano-British?] pot sherds. Finder: R.Hollowell.

{4} Mr Hollowell said he found a "couple of pieces only" at this site and did not keep them.
