Find Spot record 3753/0/0 - Unstratified Romano-British pottery, north of Stonebrig Lane

Fieldwalking survey identified a sparse scatter of Romano-British sherds, mainly grey sandy ware, over an area of light sandy soil between two converging streams.

{1} A few Roman sherds have been found in the west of the parish but not in any quantity.

{4} The above site was confirmed by Mr Fox. The site is now under plough and no surface remains or finds were noted. Fox did not retain his finds which he stated were "fragmentary only".
