Find Spot record 4135/0/0 - Unstratified Roman Finds, east of Sowerley's Road

3rd century to 4th century pottery findspot.

{1}Finds made between 1959-60; 28 sherds of 2nd-3rd century Roman pottery;

{3} [Areas centred SP 87568786] A number of sherds (28) of RB pottery, identified by Graham Webster as C2nd-C3rd A.D, were found from 1959-60 in clearing a large area for school-buildings and playing-fields. No evidence of any structure was seen. The sherds are in Mr Seaborne's possession
