Monument record 80/0/1 - Possible Medieval/Post Medieval Enclosure

Cropmark enclosure; medieval sherds found.

{1} Surface finds; medieval and post-medieval pot sherds. Probably 13th/14th century date as well as post-medieval.

{2} Air photographs (CUAP, BV61, 62) show a small rectangular enclosure which appears to be aligned on a former headland of the common fields. A quantity of medieval pottery, probably 13th or 14th-century in date, as well as some post-medieval pottery, has been found on the site.

{3} Crop mark, enclosure, 1/2 mile W S W of Hinton in the Hedges (SP 55333653).

{4} The site is under young crop; there are no surveyable remains and no surface finds were made.
