Full Description

{1} Earthwork of three elliptical mounds located on the top of a headland. The mound is 1.3m high, 4m long and 2m wide. Their relationship to the baulks which are referred to in a terrier of 1621 suggest a pre-enclosure agricultural origin. It may be that they represent ant hill or mole cast clearance perhaps during a period of convertible husbandry;

{2} In an area of ridge and furrow there are several rectangular mounds located on headlands between furlongs. They are 12m long, 3m high and 0.4m high with flat tops. Their purpose is unknown;

{3} Aerial photography suggests that this field is now in cultivation and that the earthworks may have been largely ploughed out.
