Full Description
{1} Roman pottery and limestone blocks were discovered during ditching operations in 1970 and subsequently more pottery has been found in the surrounding area.
{2} The existence of the Roman settlement here has now been confirmed by the discovery of considerable amounts of building stone and pottery. A subrectangular ditched enclosure has also been noted at TL035865 [Mon 2367].
