Full Description
{1} 176 sherds recovered. Three sherds of Iron Age pottery were found within the area of the settlement, but it is uncertain whether these denote its origins or are part of a wider manuring scatter. A concentration of early and middle Roman pottery covering an area of 0.87ha coincides with the known features and includes 15 sherds in the area of the largest roundhouse. No concentrations are evident in the later Roman pottery distribution and this may indicate that occupation did not continue beyond the C3rd.
