{1}4 of 2nd Earl's 8 dramatic works (written between 1640-1650) show evidence of having been produced at Apethorpe where Earl maintained private theatre for entertainment of his family & friends; his productions were quite revolutionary in English theatre & employed stage sets which would have required dedicated room space or purpose-built theatre;
