Full Description

{2} Archaeological remains identified during watching brief. Up to 0.30m layered deposits of Roman date (1st to 3rd century AD). A possible wall and a sub-circular clay-lined pit were also found at this level, but were undated. All remains sealed beneath a deep medieval deposit of "dark loam" up to 1.5m thick.
