Full Description

{1} Scatter of unidentified stone along north bank of river Nene.

{2} Extensive enquiries revealed that Weldon Construction had tipped Linconshire limestone into the river to construct a modern ford to cross the river. Having completed the job they moved the ford West and constructed the new bridge on the place of their original crossing. Much of the spoil was excavated from the river and spread on the banks.
