Full Description

{2} Eight sherds of Roman pottery were recovered. The spatial distribution shows a clear spread of material to the east of the study area. The small number of Roman wares makes interpretation of the spatial distribution difficult. However it is worth noting that 5 of the 8 sherds were recovered from Field 1, where late prehistoric/Romano-British enclosures and field systems have previously been identified from aerial photographic evidence.
