Full Description

{1} John Blencowe Esq and 2nd edition 1791.

{7} Estate of Sir John Blencowe and John Botry esq (both with manor houses) are inclosed. Rest of parish open fields. Blencowe's seated here for several generations, appear to have been tenants to Prior of Shene.

{8} Manor house, respectable mansion. John Jackson Blencowe, Lord of the Manor. 350 acres old enclosure and 1210 acres enclosed Act of Parliament 1759. Family held in 1540.
