Summary

Cropmarks of a sub square enclosure with further, smaller sub square enclosures to the west were identified during the Northamptonshire NMP. Also to the west of the main enclosure is part of a possible ring ditch, c28m in diameter, which may be the remains of around barrow. Various irregular features, possibly pits, have also been identified.

Full Description

{1-2} Cropmarks identified on aerial photographs dating to 1981 and 1984. The cropmarks are likely to date to the prehistoric and/or Roman periods and comprise a large sub square enclosure (51m x 56m) to the west with no apparent entrance. To the east are possibly two further smaller sub square enclosures, as well as possible boundary ditches and part of a possible ring ditch (c28 in diameter) that may be part of a round barrow.
