Full Description
{1} Council workman bulldozed a stone wall dating from probably the 1860's. 150 petion protest at this action and asked it to be rebuilt. After they demolished the wall, the council claimed that the stone wall was too wide to allow a pathway to the new clinic. They had to demolish this historic wall and put up a fence instead with a path.
{2} Stone wall was destroyed by the Town Council and replaced by a fence. Cllr Phil Loaring said,"It probably does look better now." The wall dated from around 1860 and was described as an important part of the towns heritage. 150 people protested against the desecration of heritage.
