Full Description

{1} Surface scatter of building stone and Roman pottery. Observed during various stages of ploughing between August 1993 and March 1994. Pottery includes plain Samian Wares (shallow dish and cup), coarse wares, Nene valley ware, Oxford Mortaria, one African amphora handle, grey wares and one piece of strainer. Floor tile and one piece of plaster were also found. One coin of Domitian (86AD) and 70 coins ranging from Victorinus to Gratian have so far been found. Other metal finds included weights, bracelet fragment, nail cleaner, brooches, and lead waste.
