Full Description
{1}10th November 1942: New Barracks Ponds. "It was decided tath the clerk write the County Council with the request that fencing be erected round the three ponds at the corner of the Barracks land to obviate the possiblity of persons using the footpath falling in the ponds."13th December 1944: Wootton Barracks Pond. "The fence protecting three ponds on Wootton Barracks property having been broken down, the clerk was instructed to write Mr Redmond, the Clerk of the Works, at Talavera Camp with the request that the fence be re-erected as it was dangerous for users of the footpath";14th February 1945: Ponds. "The clerk was instructed to write again to the Clerk of the Works at Talavera Camp and suggest that iron railings be used to guard the ponds the same as in pre-war days...";14th March 1945;26th March 1947;23 April 1947;January 1949;All references, usually complaints about the Barracks ponds. But no reference is made to when the barracks became occupied.
