Full Description

{1} Mirror case of copper alloy. 13th or 14th century date. Probably made in the Low Countries. The white putty that once held in the mirror could still be seen. The case is decorated on both sides with lines of small triangular punch marks forming four arcs. Probably the first example from Northamptonshire.
