Full Description

{1} Roman Settlement (SP 569599), in the W. of the parish, on the crest of a ridge of Middle Lias Clay at 135m above OD. Roman pottery, mainly grey ware but including some samian, has been found over an area of 2 hectares.

{2} Scatter of Roman pottery, mainly small grey ware fragments but also two of Samian, from an area of 200m x 100m on the crest of a ridge.
